Bagong Kanta Ko Kay Tsong
Dyosa's Power Strikes at 08:09 AM

Narinig ko 'to sa radyo kahapon at na-realize ko na ito ang perfect na kanta ko kay Tsong, lalung-lalo na sa mga nangyari at nangyayari ngayon sa 'kin.  Enjoy listening...

Healing by Deniece Williams

Now that we have gotten through
One more fall
I can just admit I've got it all
Cause I do
Cause I've got You
We've crossed these battle lines too many times
It passes throught the heart
But it never leaves a mark

Cause Your love just keeps on healing me
No matter how I bruise
If I just trust You
Your love just keeps on healing me
One more clue
One more chance that wasnt there before
In Your arms
no pain can harm the way Im feeling
Lord I know that Your love is healing

I've kicked around those lines in my head
But I've never listened to the words that You said
See where it's lead
Well I know I have it now
Cause You showed me how
And all I had to do
Was just to keep my eyes on You

Cause Your love just keeps on healing me
No matter how I bruise
If I just trust You
Your love just keeps on healing me
One more clue
One more chance that wasnt there before
In Your arms
no pain can harm the way Im feeling
Lord I know that Your love is healing

(break)

Cause Your love just keeps on healing me
No matter how I bruise
If I just trust You
Your love just keeps on healing me
One more clue
One more chance that wasnt there before
In Your arms
no pain can harm the way im feeling

Lord I know that Your love is healing

We Are The Champions!!!
Dyosa's Power Strikes at 06:52 PM

ALASKA is the 2006-2007 PBA Talk N' Text Fiesta Conference Champions... Yahooooooooooooooo!!!

I just knew from the moment they've beaten Brgy. Ginebra to clinch the first semifinal berth that I'll be hearing that familiar "We are the Champions" song again.  I knew that they're going to make my PBA watching comeback memorable and I knew that they're going to simply make me proud.  And you know what, I was right all along.  Hahaha.

Ang sarap ng feeling panalo - ang yabang (as if)!  Hehehe.

To Alaska players and coaching staff: rest and practice well my darlings, we'll be seeing more of each other again next conference... and I mean, the Finals.  Lakas-tama!  Bwahahaha...

P.S.

Good luck to Team Pilipinas on their FIBA - Asia Men's Championship competition in Tokushima, Japan next weekend.  Olympics 2008, watch out!!!

Thanks to Alaska Aces website for the pics.

Wala Pa Ring Tatalo sa ALASKA!!!
Dyosa's Power Strikes at 02:09 AM

During the 1990s, I was the most avid and addicted PBA fan.  I was rooting for Alaska and Jolas, Johnny A. & Jeff Cariaso were my basketball superheroes.  I witnessed the time when they won 4 championships in a row and bagged the most eluded Grandslam in PBA history.  Then Jolas got transferred to Pop Cola and eventually retired from professional basketball; Johnny A. was traded to another team, went back to Alaska and then transferred to another ballclub again; Jeff Cariaso also experienced trading left and right... and expectedly, my enthusiasm to the game slowly went down.  I guess, going to college changed my priorities big time too.

Ten years after, I saw Jolas on Alaska's bench - acting as one of Tim Cone's coaching staff.  Jeff Cariaso was back to the team as one of their top players.  Fine, Johnny A. is still with Ginebra but maybe soon enough he will be back to Alaska again - if not one of the players, maybe one of the assistant coaches as well - just like my beloved Jolas... with that kind of thought, their magnet is just irrisistable.  I can't stop watching them again.

I saw them beat Ginebra to clinch an automatic semifinals berth.  I religiously followed their Best-of-Seven Semifinals Series against San Miguel, which they won unsurprisingly (for me, hehehe).  Series wrapped down to 4-2, in favor of Alaska.  Hats down to San Miguel though for giving my fave team a very good fight, especially Game 6 that went to double overtime.

On Friday, they will be facing Talk N' Text on another Best-of-Seven Series: The 2006-2007 PBA Fiesta Conference Finals... and I will definitely watch every single game, will even watch one of the games LIVE too.  And so I am back to those mixed and intensed feelings again - feelings that I haven't really felt for a long time.  I'm not sure if this addiction will do me any good (bwahahaha) but I know one thing - WALA TALAGANG TATALO SA ALASKA (sa puso ko... eeewww!  Hahaha).

Thanks to kagechoo too, for being my PBA buddy and opponent (she roots for San Miguel during the semis and Talk N' Text for the finals) for the last few games.  I'm really having fun talking to her about PBA.  As we agreed, may the best team wins!!!

Pahabol: HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY BESTFRIEND, adonis_estrada.  I love you, again... and again... and again.  Muah!!!

10 MEs
Dyosa's Power Strikes at 01:52 PM

Well, this is a game and here are the rules: Each player starts off with 10 weird things/habits/little known facts about yourself. People who get tagged need to write a blog of their own 10 weird habits/things/little known facts as well and state this rule clearly. At the end, you need to choose 6 people to be tagged and list their names. No tag backs.

I was tagged by kagechoo and I think it's very interesting, it got me really thinking.  Hehehe.  So here are the 10 weirdest things about me.  Beware!  Bwahahaha.

1. I like eating pansit a day after it was cooked, 'yung tipong malapit nang mapanis para maasim-asim na s'ya at di na kailangang lagyan ng kalamansi.  Take note: Hindi po ako kumakain ng panis na pansit.  I also prefer smelly fresh bagoong alamang, mas mabaho mas masarap.  Hihihi.

2. On rest days, I can do VCD/DVD marathon for 16 hours straight with only eating, texting, phone calls, and bathroom breaks on the side.  Take my 8 to 12-hour sleep and do another marathon the next day.  I love watching TV series (mostly Americans) but I don't have any patience of following them on TV.  I just hate asking "What next?" episode after episode so what I do is wait for the whole season of the series to be over, acquire them on VCD/DVD, and do my own marathon thingy.  So far, I already finished Sex and the City (Seasons 1-6), Friends (Seasons 1-10), Charmed (Seasons 1-8), Ally McBeal (Seasons 1-5), and Alias (Seasons 1-5).  I still yet to finish Seasons 2-3 of Wonder Woman, Lost's 1st and 2nd Seasons, CSI Seasons 4-6, CSI: Miami Seasons 1-4, CSI: NY Seasons 1-2, Numbers' 1st and 2nd Season, and The Sopranos Seasons 1-6.  Currently, I am waiting for 24 and Smallville's 6th Season, Lois and Clark's Seasons 3-4, the 2nd Season of Prison Break, Grey's Anatomy and House's 3rd Season, and Brothers and Sisters' Season 1.  Whew!

3. I lost more than 60 lbs. just before my 18th Birthday 'coz I wanted to wear a nice and sexy dress (and I did), only to regain more than what I lost after a year onwards.  Now, I'm trying to lose weight again, this time for health reasons... and hopefully for good.

4. I don't open my lunch bag until eating time, I don't even take a peek.  Not knowing and wondering what I will be eating gives me certain excitement... para there's something to look forward to, ika nga.

5. When eating at my desk in the office, I always feel the need of having Maggi Savor, Del Monte Chili Ketchup, etc. beside me.  But I won't necessarry use any of them.  It's like, they're just there to watch me.  Hahaha.

6. I have at least 3 bags with me when I go to work and school.  There are times that what's inside a bigger bag is just a smaller one.  And when I sleep, my bags should be anywhere my bed.  When asked by anyone why, I just tell them that my bags are my security blanket.

7.  To begin with, I am not really vocal and showy when it comes to my feelings but I can be the sweetest and most demonstrative person to my family and friends at times... and yes, I can sometimes do PDA too.   When it comes to whoever that's romantically linked with me though... and I mean anyone (so far), I simply can't.  I can make him laugh out loud, I can even make him cry out of too much laughter.  I remember things about him and about us, do things that I figured will let him know that I care and that he's important to me but I often neglect saying the magic words.  Maybe because, I presume that he's already aware of that somehow or maybe because, unconsciously I don't wanna flatter him much.  Hahaha.  I am a heart person except when it comes to matters of the heart.  How ironic?

8.  When I have cough and colds, I eat ice cream & frozen food and I drink cold beverages.

9. When it's really hot and I'm sweating to a fault, I just need an electric fan on my face and I'm okay.  Kung walang electric fan, pwede na rin ang pamaypay.

10.  When I'm really cold (especially during the months of December to February), the more I fan myself (as in 'yung mano-manong pamaypay).  My rationalization with that is I get to move my hands and body so it won't be so cold anymore.

There you go.  Now, it's my time to tag.  I'm tagging adonis_estrada, ays, satin_sheets, swishstick, moonbeamandsunshades, and menashaI hope you guys enjoy it, just like I did.  Ciao.

She's in a Better Place Now
Dyosa's Power Strikes at 03:26 PM

Today is Akulaw's 2nd Year Death Anniversary.  My family went home to Pangasinan to visit her grave and offer a Thanksgiving Mass.  Wherever she is right now, I know that she's in a far better place spending happy moments with TSONG and Atay.  But here's one bugging question: How do you greet the family of somebody dead and tell them that you remember his/her death anniversary?  Do we say "Happy Death Anniversary" or "I'm Sorry it's your Loved One's Death Anniversary"?  Any thoughts, anyone?
